Zydus Cadila has received the tentative approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) to market Sitagliptin and Metformin Hydrochloride Tablets in the strengths of 50 mg/500mg and 50 mg/1000mg.
This is a fixed dose combination of two anti-diabetic drugs indicated for Type H diabetes mellitus and will be produced at the group’s formulations manufacturing facility at the Pharma SEZ in Ahmedabad. The group now has more than 120 approvals and has so far filed over 300 ANDAs since the commencement of the filing process in FY 2003-04.
