SCI gains on taking delivery of second hand MPSV ‘SCI Saraswati’

Shipping Corporation of India (SCI) is currently trading at Rs. 85.60, up by 0.20 points or 0.23% from its previous closing of Rs. 85.40 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 86.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 86.70 and Rs. 85.20 respectively. So far 90933 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 92.00 on 15-Jun-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 55.75 on 21-Nov-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 88.30 and Rs. 81.10 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 3982.58 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 63.75%, while institutions and non-institutions held 22.36% and 13.89% respectively.

Shipping Corporation of India has taken delivery of a second hand Multi-purpose Support Vessel (MPSV) ‘SCI Saraswati’ on July 07, 2017. The company has acquired the resale MPSV from owner Emerald Marine Global, British Virgin Islands.

The deadweight tonnage (DWT) of the vessel is 3,719 tonnes and the gross tonnage (GT) is 3,616. The vessel complies with DPS2 requirements and SPS 2008 code and has been dual classed with Indian Register of Shipping and American Bureau of Shipping.

SCI is the only Indian shipping company operating break-bulk service, international container service, liquid / dry bulk service, offshore service, passenger service, in addition to manning / managing a large number of vessels on behalf of various government departments and organizations.
