Tata Steel rises on divesting entire equity stake in Tata Elastron S.A.

Tata Steel is currently trading at Rs. 559.00, up by 1.95 points or 0.35% from its previous closing of Rs. 557.05 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 560.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 561.95 and Rs. 558.60 respectively. So far 31,000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 561.95 on 11-Jul-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 328.90 on 12-Jul-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 561.95 and Rs. 549.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 54,290.00 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 31.35%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 44.73% and 22.31% respectively.

Tata Steel has divested its entire equity stake in a 50% joint venture, Tata Elastron S.A. to Elastron S.A. The company had entered into sale agreement on July 10, 2017.

Besides, the company has signed a definitive sale agreement to sell its 42- and 84-inch pipe mills in Hartlepool to Liberty House Group. The sale agreement covers the 42-inch and 84-inch pipe mills, also known as the Submerged Arc Weld (SAW) mills, where about 140 employees manufacture pipeline for gas and oil projects around the world.
