Bharti Airtel rings loud on investing Rs 30,000 crore on improving infrastructure in 2 years

Bharti Airtel is currently trading at Rs. 414.35, up by 5.75 points or 1.41% from its previous closing of Rs. 408.60 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 408.25 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 429.60 and Rs. 398.80 respectively. So far 143355 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 429.60 on 18-Jul-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 283.95 on 09-Nov-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 429.60 and Rs. 392.95 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 166471.73 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 67.14%, while institutions and non-institutions held 26.45% and 6.41% respectively.

Telecom major Bharti Airtel has invested more than Rs 30,000 crore in the last two years on boosting its network infrastructure. The telecom major has deployed over 72,000 network base stations in FY17, in addition to the already functional sites of around 2.7 lakh. 80 per cent of the sites launched in 2016-17 were high-speed broadband sites.

Moreover, the company is installing renewable energy technology gradually across its several mobile tower sites which has led to a reduction in carbon emission from its network and saving of diesel consumption.
