Government to sell 15% stake in National Fertilizers

The Government will sell 15% stake in National Fertilizers at a floor price of Rs 72.80 a share through a two-day offer. The government has submitted to BSE a Notice of Offer to sell up to 7,35,86,760 equity shares of the company of face value of Rs 10 each, representing 15% of the total paid up equity share capital of the company on July 26, 2017 (for non-Retail Investors) and July 27, 2017 (for Retail Investors and for non-Retail Investors who choose to carry forward their bids), through a separate, designated window of the exchanges. The sale of 7.35 crore shares or 15 per cent stake would fetch about Rs 530 crore to the exchequer.

National Fertilizers is second largest producer of Nitrogenous Fertilizers in the India commanding 16.5% of market share. The company also manufactures spectrum of industrial products which include Methanol, Sodium Nitrate, Sodium Nitrite, Nitric Acid, Sulphur, Liquid Oxygen, Liquid CO2, Liquid Nitrogen etc.
