The FIIs on Monday were net sellers in equities segment, while they were net buyers in debt segment, according to data released by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI).
In equity segment, the gross buying was of Rs 2239.60 crore against gross sell of Rs 2314.70 crore. Thus, FIIs stood as net sellers of Rs 75.10 crore in equities on May 23, 2011.
In the debt segment, the gross purchase was of Rs 1278.90 crore with gross sales of Rs 578.20 crore. Thus, FIIs stood as net buyers of Rs 700.70 crore in debt on May 23, 2011.
