Electrosteel Castings has received an approval for setting up of 1 No. 9 MVA Submerged Arc Furnace along with 4.5 MW power plant at Haldia, Purba Medinipur, West Bengal. The said capex plan will entail an investment of Rs 61.64 crore. The board of directors at its meeting held on August 3, 2017 approved for the same.
The company will use captive power generated from waste heat from existing manufacturing facility for production of Ferro alloys. The surplus production from Ferro Alloy Plant after captive use is proposed to be sold in open market.
