HUL surges on commencing commercial production at new unit in Assam

Hindustan Uniliver (HUL) is currently trading at Rs. 1219.00, up by 15.40 points or 1.28% from its previous closing of Rs. 1203.60 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1209.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1219.00 and Rs. 1206.10 respectively. So far 4792 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1221.40 on 01-Sep-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 782.95 on 23-Dec-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1221.40 and Rs. 1192.10 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 261912.63 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 67.20%, while institutions and non-institutions held 19.03% and 13.77% respectively.

HUL has commenced commercial production at its personal care products unit at Doomdooma in the state of Assam on September 6, 2017. The Rs 1000 crore new unit at Doomdooma would provide direct employment to 1750 youths in the region.

HUL is India’s largest Fast Moving Consumer Goods Company with a heritage of over 80 years in India and touches the lives of nine out of ten Indian households.
