SAIL gains with its Bhilai plant bagging order from Indian Railways

Steel Authority of India is currently trading at Rs. 62.00, up by 0.15 points or 0.24% from its previous closing of Rs. 61.85 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 62.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 62.45 and Rs. 61.35 respectively. So far 255305 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 68.55 on 07-Apr-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 44.25 on 29-Sep-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 64.50 and Rs. 61.35 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 25402.73 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 75.00%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 20.46% and 4.54% respectively.

Steel Authority of India (SAIL) has bagged an order from Indian Railways for the current fiscal. Railways has placed a confirmed rail order of 12 lakh tonnes (LT) with the company’s Bhilai plant in this financial year.

Bhilai Steel Plant is the flagship unit of SAIL. It produces high strength rails, heavy structurals, wide and heavy steel plates of different grades, merchant products, wire rods etc.

Steel Authority of India (SAIL) is India’s largest steel producing company. The company is among the five Maharatnas of the country’s Central Public Sector Enterprises. The company has five integrated steel plants, three special plants, and one subsidiary in different parts of the country.
