Steel Authority of India (SAIL) has reported a 18% jump in sales during August over the corresponding month last year. The company has sold 91,000 tonnes in August and targets to sell 1 million tonnes through its dealer network in the current financial year and aims to double it in the next three years.

Steel Authority of India (SAIL) is India’s largest steel producing company. The company is among the five Maharatnas of the country’s Central Public Sector Enterprises. The company has five integrated steel plants, three special plants, and one subsidiary in different parts of the country.
