HDFC Mutual Fund through HDFC India Prudence Fund has bought 2,96,300 equity shares (representing 0.85% of total paid-up equity) of S Chand and Company at Rs 455 per share through block deals on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) on October 23, 2017. The block deal was worth Rs 13.48 crore.
As of September 2017, HDFC Trustee Company through HDFC Prudence Fund holds 3.29% stake in the education content company.
S Chand and Company delivers content, solutions and services across the education lifecycle through its K-12, higher education and early learning segments.
