Sarda Energy & Minerals inches up on the BSE

Sarda Energy & Minerals is currently trading at Rs. 468.70, up by 0.20 points or 0.04% from its previous closing of Rs. 468.50 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 469.10 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 469.85 and Rs. 464.00 respectively. So far 5540 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 488.35 on 11-Oct-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 185.00 on 22-Nov-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 478.85 and Rs. 452.05 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 1683.50 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 71.81%, while institutions and non-institutions held 2.48% and 25.71% respectively.

Sarda Energy & Minerals has taken a planned shut-down of one of its three power generating units for replacement of old turbine machine by a new energy efficient turbine machine supplied by BHEL. The new turbine machine will help in generating more power from the existing quantum of steam. The unit is expected to come into operation before the end of the current financial year. The Company has already replaced one of its old turbine with a new turbine, which came into operation in April 2017.

Sarda Energy & Minerals is one of the lowest cost producers of steel (sponge iron, billets, ingots, TMT bars) and one of the largest manufacturers and exporters of ferro alloys in India.
