National Fertilizers reports 66% fall in Q1 net profit

National Fertilizers has reported results for its first quarter ended June 30, 2011.

The company’s net profit for the quarter has declined 66.37% at Rs 5.98 crore as compared to Rs 17.78 crore for the same quarter last year. Its total income increased by 21.65% to Rs 1423.73 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 1170.33 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

National Fertilizers is the second largest producer of urea in India and also manufactures spectrum of industrial products which include Methanol, Sodium Nitrate, Sodium Nitrite, Nitric Acid, Sulphur, Liquid Oxygen, Liquid CO2, Liquid Nitrogen etc.
