Strides Shasun gains with arm receiving WHO GMP status for Kenyan facility

Strides Shasun is currently trading at Rs. 849.95, up by 6.00 points or 0.71% from its previous closing of Rs. 843.95 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 855.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 856.00 and Rs. 849.90 respectively.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1259.00 on 03-Feb-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 833.50 on 06-Oct-2017.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 871.90 and Rs. 833.70 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 7,606.00 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 31.12%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 50.12% and 18.76% respectively.

Strides Shasun’s subsidiary - Universal Corporation, Kenya, has received the GMP status for its Kenyan facility from World Health Organization (WHO) confirming compliance with standards of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

The company has initiated site transfer for its Anti-Retro Viral (ARV) portfolio to the facility and will participate in global donor funding and local government programs.

Strides Shasun (formerly known as Strides Arcolab) is engaged in manufacturing, sale and export of pharmaceutical products. It offers general tablets, hard gelatin and soft gelatin capsules, sachets, potent drugs and semi-solids.
