LIC Housing Finance declines on reporting marginal fall in Q2 net profit

LIC Housing Finance is currently trading at Rs. 607.20, down by 12.10 points or 1.95% from its previous closing of Rs. 619.30 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 610.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 621.00 and Rs. 599.00 respectively. So far 169353 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 794.10 on 20-Jun-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 470.00 on 09-Nov-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 653.00 and Rs. 608.80 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 30913.13 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 40.31%, while institutions and non-institutions held 47.40% and 12.29% respectively.

LIC Housing Finance has reported a marginal fall of 1.14% in its net profit at Rs 489.12 crore for the quarter under review as compared to net profit of Rs 494.76 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total revenue of the company increased by 6.50% at Rs 3716.63 crore for Q2FY18 as compared Rs 3489.91 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

LIC Housing Finance is one of the largest Housing Finance Company in India. The main objective of the company is providing long term finance to individuals for purchase or construction of house or flat for residential purpose / repair and renovation of existing flat / houses.
