SAIL narrows net loss to Rs 539.06 crore in Q2

Steel Authority of India (SAIL) has reported results for second quarter ended September 30, 2017.

The company has reported a net loss of Rs 539.06 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2017 as compared to a net loss of Rs 731.58 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. The total income of the company increased by 8.07% at Rs 13666.05 crore for Q2FY18 as compared Rs 12645.76 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

SAIL is India’s largest steel producing company. The company is among the five Maharatnas of the country’s Central Public Sector Enterprises. The company has five integrated steel plants, three special plants, and one subsidiary in different parts of the country.
