Bharat Electronics trades higher on the bourses

Bharat Electronics (BEL) is currently trading at Rs. 177.05, up by 1.45 points or 0.83% from its previous closing of Rs. 175.60 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 175.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 178.50 and Rs. 174.90 respectively. So far 87946 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 192.50 on 31-Oct-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 115.11 on 15-Nov-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 185.15 and Rs. 175.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 43759.00 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 67.94%, while institutions and non-institutions held 24.24% and 7.82% respectively.

BEL has paid total dividend of 225% in three installments to the Government of India (GoI) for the financial year 2016-17. The company presented the 105% third and final dividend cheque of Rs 159.91 crore, payable on the shares held by the President of India and Government nominee, to the Defence Minister.

The first Interim dividend of 30% (on face value of Rs 10 per equity share) was paid to the Government in January 2017 and the second interim dividend of 90% (on face value of Rs one per equity share) was paid to the Government in March 2017.

Bharat Electronics is a multi-product, multi-technology, multi-unit conglomerate with over 350 products in the areas of military communication, radars, naval systems, C4I systems, weapon systems, homeland security, telecom & broadcast systems, electronic warfare, tank electronics, electro-optics, professional electronic components and solar photovoltaic systems.
