Founder of Cafe Coffee Day and Global Technology Ventures -- VG Siddhartha -- has acquired additional 0.23% stake in IT services company MindTree for Rs 5.76 crore through an open market transaction.
Post acquisition, Siddhartha stake in the company increased to 21.78%. He bought 93,000 shares at an average price of Rs 620 apiece.
Recently, VG Siddhartha acquired 3.8% stake or 15.64 lakh shares in indTree for Rs 95.63 crore.
In 1992, Siddartha founded Amalgamated Bean Coffee Trading Company and started coffee retail business in 1995 under the brand name of Cafe Coffee Day (CCD).
