Voltas has reported unaudited results for the first quarter ended June 30, 2011.
The company’s net profit after tax for the quarter ended June 30, 2011 has surged 48.58% at Rs 125.70 crore as compared to Rs 84.60 crore for the corresponding quarter last year. Its total income increased 1.21% at Rs 1412.13 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 1395.30 crore for the same quarter last year.
On consolidated basis, the Group’s net profit after tax Minority Interest and Share in Loss of Associates for the quarter has jumped 41.34% at Rs 131.79 crore as compared to Rs 93.24 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2010. Its total Income has decreased by 4.23% at Rs 1367.23 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 1427.63 crore for the similar quarter of the previous year.
