JSW Steel gains on reporting crude steel production of 13.62 LT in November 2017

JSW Steel is currently trading at Rs. 254.55, up by 4.40 points or 1.76% from its previous closing of Rs. 250.15 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 251.95 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 256.90 and Rs. 250.05 respectively. So far 117140 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 277.00 on 13-Nov-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 151.43 on 26-Dec-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 256.90 and Rs. 241.35 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 61566.60 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 41.62%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 38.11% and 20.27% respectively.

JSW Steel has reported crude steel production of 13.62 lakh tonnes (LT) in November 2017, a growth of 11% over the corresponding month in 2016. The production of rolled products (long) increased to 2.99 LT compared to 2.21 LT in November 2016, representing a surge of 35%. The production of rolled products (flat) increased to 9.59 LT, a rise of 8%, as compared to 8.87 LT in November 2016.

JSW Steel is one of the largest steel manufacturing companies in India having units in Karnataka and Maharashtra producing crude steel, long steel and flat steel products.
