Societe Generale buys 13 lakh shares of Bharat Financial Inclusion

Societe Generale has bought 13,00,000 shares of Bharat Financial Inclusion for a total amount of Rs 129.04 crore. It has purchased the shares at Rs 992.65 per share on BSE on December 12, 2017. However, Morgan Stanley Mauritius Company sold 357,250 shares of the company, while Morgan Stanley France SAS sold 942,750 shares.

Bharat Financial Inclusion (formerly known as SKS Microfinance) is a non-banking finance company (NBFC), regulated by the Reserve Bank of India. The company's mission is to provide financial services to the poor under the premise that providing financial services to poor borrowers helps to alleviate poverty.
