The Unique Identification Authority of India, Government of India (UIDAI) has allowed Bharti Airtel to continue Aadhaar based e-KYC services till March 31, 2018. The company continues to engage with the authorities to achieve a final closure of the matter.

Last year in December, Bharti Airtel and its subsidiary - Airtel Payments Bank (APBL) have been served with an Interim Order dated December 15, 2017 by UIDAI directing suspension of the e-KYC license key of Bharti Airtel / APBL with immediate effect. However, UIDAI had later allowed Bharti Airtel to resume Aadhaar based e-KYC services.
