Mercator advances on resuming coal operations at Indonesia mining site

Mercator is currently trading at Rs. 46.25, up by 1.25 points or 2.78% from its previous closing of Rs. 45.00 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 45.55 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 47.00 and Rs. 45.50 respectively. So far 5,18,000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 55.20 on 24-Apr-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 32.75 on 14-Dec-2017.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 47.00 and Rs. 41.15 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 1,389.80 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 34.44%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 15.26% and 50.31% respectively.

Mercator has successfully resumed its coal operations at its mining site in Indonesia. The operations were disrupted for a large part of the third quarter on account of change in management team. The new management has now taken complete charge and expects operations to reach optimum levels by March 2018.

Mercator is one of India's largest private sector Dredging Company. The group has a presence in varied segments namely shipping, offshore services, oil exploration and production, dredging, coal mining/trading and logistics.
