BPCL moves up on raising Rs 750 crore on private placement basis

Bharat Petroleum Corporation is currently trading at Rs. 480.05, up by 1.80 points or 0.38% from its previous closing of Rs. 478.25 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 480.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 482.30 and Rs. 474.55 respectively. So far 27398 shares were traded on the counter.

Bharat Petroleum Corporation (BPCL) has raised Rs 750 crore through private placement of unsecured non-convertible debentures at a coupon of 7.69% per annum payable annually with a door to door maturity of 5 years on January 16, 2018. The proceeds will be utilized for funding of Capital Expenditure of the company, including recoupment of expenditure already incurred. The issue would be listed both on NSE and BSE.

BPCL is into exploration, production and retailing of petroleum and petrol related products. The retail business unit of BPCL is into marketing of petrol, diesel and kerosene.
