VRL Logistics is set to induct new trucks at a cost of around Rs 400 crore. The company will purchase truck chassis from Ashok Leyland for the additional fleet. Moreover, the company has proposed to increase the fleet size by adding 1200 customised trucks. Fleet addition is expected to commence by April 2019 and would conclude by December 2019.
The company as on December 31, 2017 had 3,989 trucks under the Goods Transportation business segment.
