ABB India bags order worth Rs 16.1 crore

ABB India has won orders worth Rs 16.1 crore to supply turnkey power and automation solution for three photovoltaic solar power plants with a combined capacity of 11 megawatts (MW) in India.

The company is responsible for the design, engineering, manufacturing, installation commissioning of the plants and will deliver the turnkey electrical and control solution within an extremely short span of time of sixteen weeks. Key products to be supplied include inverters, low-voltage equipment, medium-voltage switchgear, transformers, cables, distributed control systems, remote monitoring systems and auxiliary systems.

The orders comprise of two 5 MW photovoltaic (PV) solar power plants and one 1 MW photovoltaic (PV) solar power plant. When completed in October this year, the plants will have an annual generating capacity of up to 17.6 Gigawatt-hours of electricity, avoiding approximately 12500 MTs of CO2 emissions per year, equivalent to the annual emissions of about 3100 Indian cars.

The offering ranges from turnkey photovoltaic power plants to complete power and automation solutions for CSP plants and for PV installations.
