Mercator has received an approval for de-merger of Dredging Business into a separate entity. Mercator Dredging will be listed as a separate entity as part of the de-merger process. The board of directors at its meeting held on February 14, 2018 has approved the same.
The board had earlier initiated a study to evaluate the potential of a de-merger and had appointed a consultant to evaluate the possibility of a business restructuring.
Mercator is one of India's largest private sector Dredging Company. The group has a presence in varied segments namely shipping, offshore services, oil exploration and production, dredging, coal mining/trading and logistics.
