Andhra Petrochemicals rises on resuming operations of plant at Visakhapatnam

Andhra Petrochemicals is currently trading at Rs. 59.50, up by 1.70 points or 2.94% from its previous closing of Rs. 57.80 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 56.25 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 59.90 and Rs. 56.25 respectively. So far 45,408 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'X' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 77.90 on 25-Jan-2018 and a 52 week low of Rs. 22.90 on 11-Aug-2017.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 64.00 and Rs. 56.25 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 505.58 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 45.05%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 0.10% and 54.85% respectively.

Andhra Petrochemicals has resumed operations of its plant located at Visakhapatnam from February 19, 2018. In order to carry on Annual Maintenance Work, the plant was not in operation from January 26, 2018.

Andhra Petrochemicals manufactures chemicals. The Company produces 2-ethyl hexanol, which is used in plasticizers, stabilizers, solvents, acrylates, and finishing compounds for ink, n-butanol, which is used to manufacture solvents, adhesives, detergents, plasticizers, and acrylates, and I- butanol, which is used to manufacture plasticizers, amino resin, and solvents.
