DCM Shriram’s board has approved the proposal of expansion of Caustic Soda capacity at Bharuch (Gujarat) plant. The Board of Directors of the company in their meeting held on February 23, 2018, approved the same.
Post expansion, the company’s capacity will reach to 1347 tonnes per day (including 146 tonnes per day approved in November, 2017) from existing capacity of 1015 tonnes per day. The company will invest Rs 113 crore in expansion. This expansion will help in meeting growing demand and deriving economies of scale.
