This has reference to the news released in The Deccan Herald on February 26, 2018 with the caption ‘Govt releases list of 9,500 high risk NBFCs’ wherein the name of one company ‘Century Ply & Boards Pvt Ltd’ has been highlighted as ‘BIGGIES ON LIST’. Century Plyboards (India) has informed that the company wishes to clarify to the Stock Exchange and to the public at large that the Company Century Plyboards (India) which is listed on NSE and BSE is not the one which has been referred to in the aforesaid press release. Century Plyboards (India) is not an NBFC. Neither the company nor any of their promoters have any relation, past or present, with captioned company i.e. Century Ply & Boards Pvt Ltd. This clarification is being submitted only for the reason that the name of the above stated NBFC is deceptively similar to that of their company and this may create misleading effect in the market.
