Physical rubber prices steadied on Saturday as the domestic market prices remained stable in order to cover the purchases, though the futures improved at the closing.
Spot prices for RSS- 4 variety closed at Rs 187/ kg as compared to its previous closing of Rs 186/ kg, while RSS- 5 variety closed at Rs 181/ kg as compared to its previous close of Rs 180/ kg.
In the futures market, the contract of RSS- 4 July delivery increased to Rs 188.20 as compared to its previous close of Rs 187.21, while August delivery closed at Rs 186.89 compared to its previous closing of Rs 184.75 on the National Multi Commodity Exchange.
