Mercator surges on getting nod to raise funds via NCDs

Mercator is currently trading at Rs. 31.55, up by 0.20 points or 0.64% from its previous closing of Rs. 31.35 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 31.20 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 32.10 and Rs. 31.05 respectively. So far 98569 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 55.20 on 24-Apr-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 29.10 on 23-Mar-2018.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 34.80 and Rs. 29.10 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 954.26 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 30.73%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 17.53% and 51.47% respectively.

Mercator has received board’s approval for the issue of 1,750 Secured Redeemable Unlisted Non-Convertible Debentures (NCDs) of face value of Rs 10 lakh each, aggregating to Rs 175 crore, on private placement basis. The Board of Directors of the company at its meeting held on March 23, 2018, approved the same.

The proposed date of allotment of NCDs is March 27, 2018. The tenure of NCDs is 4.5 years and coupon rate is 12% per annum.

Mercator is one of India's largest private sector Dredging Company. The group has a presence in varied segments namely shipping, offshore services, oil exploration and production, dredging, coal mining/trading and logistics.
