Hindustan Foods shines on the bourses

Hindustan Foods is currently trading at Rs. 297.00, up by 13.75 points or 4.85% from its previous closing of Rs. 283.25 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 289.50 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 297.40 and Rs. 282.00 respectively. So far 7695 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'XT' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 499.95 on 11-Jan-2018 and a 52 week low of Rs. 142.00 on 12-Jun-2017.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 297.40 and Rs. 270.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 385.88 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 60.40%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 0.06% and 39.55% respectively.

Hindustan Foods has signed a term sheet for buying movable assets and stocks in respect of the footwear manufacturing business of G Shoe Export.

The takeover is in line of the company's long term goals and it will further strengthen the existing footwear manufacturing business of the company which was started last year by acquiring movable assets and stocks from Ponds Export, a HUL Subsidiary.

In addition, the company will also acquire G Shoe Export's domestic brand called ESTD 1977.

Hindustan Foods manufactures high quality cereal based food products and a range of instant mixes, baby foods, instant porridges, breakfast cereals and health drinks.
