All of the Asian equity indices are trading higher in the early deals on Friday after technology and consumer-focused stocks led an overnight rally on Wall Street, marking a dramatic end to the market's most volatile quarter in more than two years. Many regional markets are closed for Good Friday. Meanwhile, Japanese stocks rose as technology firms such as Tokyo Electron and Advantest jumped in sympathy with a rebound in their US counterparts, which were battered this week on concerns over possible government regulation.
Nikkei 225 gained 308.65 points or 1.46% to 21,467.73, Shanghai Composite added 3.68 points or 0.12% to 3,164.22, FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI spurt 4.04 points or 0.22% to 1,860.39, KOSPI Index increased 19.44 points or 0.8% to 2,455.81, and Taiwan Weighted up by 95.59 points or 0.88% to 10,941.51.
