JSW Steel reports crude steel production of 1.52 MT in March 2018

JSW Steel has reported crude steel production of 1.52 million tonnes (MT) in March 2018, a growth of 5% over the corresponding month in 2017. The production of 1.52 MT for the month of March 2018 signifies a capacity utilization of 101%.

The production of rolled products (long) increased to 0.37 MT as compared to 0.27 MT in March 2017, representing a surge of 34%. The production of rolled products (flat) remained flat at 1.05 MT in March 2018.

The company has also reported crude steel production of 4.31 MT for Q4 2017-18 with Y-o-Y growth of 5%, while it reported crude steel production of 16.27 MT for FY 2017-18 with growth of 3% over previous year.

JSW Steel is one of the largest steel manufacturing companies in India having units in Karnataka and Maharashtra producing crude steel, long steel and flat steel products.
