HIL gains on commencing commercial production at Gujarat plant

HIL is currently trading at Rs. 2021.65, up by 24.05 points or 1.20% from its previous closing of Rs. 1997.60 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 2010.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 2069.15 and Rs. 2010.00 respectively. So far 1043 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 2098.15 on 13-Apr-2018 and a 52 week low of Rs. 743.00 on 24-May-2017.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 2,083.60 and Rs. 1895.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 1490.72 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 40.99%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 13.71% and 45.29% respectively.

HIL has commenced the commercial production of its SWR (Soil, Waste & Rain) pipes and pressure pipes at Golan Plant, Gujarat. SWR pipes, Pressure pipes and SWR fittings are new additions to the company’s Pipes & Fittings Business which marketed under the brand ‘Birla Aerocon’. This augmentation of the portfolio will further strengthen company’s relationships with the trade channel, plumbers, influencers and builders/developers.

HIL is a leading player in asbestos cement sheet (ACS) for roofing, from which it derives 70 per cent of its revenue at present.
