In a bid to explore the scope of promoting Indian tea, the high-powered tea delegation visited Taiwan to publicize the health benefit of Indian black tea in Taiwanese market.
The members of the committee met with senior officials of the Council of Agriculture, Government of Taiwan. Moreover, they also attended seminar on India tea addressed by the Tea Board Chairman and buyer-seller meet to facilitate forging of tea partnership between the two countries. There was a demonstration on Indian tea and tea sampling.
The high-powered tea delegation was led by M G V K Bhanu, Chairman of Tea Board while, A N Singh, Vice-Chairman, Indian Tea Association, Anshuman Kanoia, Chairman, Indian Merchant Tea Exporters Forum, S S Bagaria, Chairman, Darjeeling Tea Association and Palli Durgadas, President, United Planters Association of South India, among others, were also part of the delegation.
