Avenue Supermarts gains on receiving nod to incorporate wholly-owned subsidiary

Avenue Supermarts is currently trading at Rs. 1472.00, up by 8.45 points or 0.58% from its previous closing of Rs. 1463.55 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1480.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1480.00 and Rs. 1457.00 respectively. So far 31,000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1534.00 on 30-Apr-2018 and a 52 week low of Rs. 692.50 on 23-May-2017.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1508.35 and Rs. 1433.45 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 91,865.00 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 82.20%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 7.26% and 10.54% respectively.

Avenue Supermarts has received an approval to incorporate a wholly-owned subsidiary. The Board of Directors of the company at its meeting held on May 5, 2018, approved the same.

The Board has also approved the issue of Secured, Rated, Non-convertible, Cumulative, Redeemable Debentures up to Rs 1,500 crore.

Avenue Supermarts is a Mumbai-based company, which owns and operates DMart stores. D-Mart is an emerging national supermarket chain that offers customers a range of home and personal products under one roof.
