Bharti Airtel gains on concluding acquisition of Telenor India

Bharti Airtel is currently trading at Rs. 381.70, up by 0.20 points or 0.05% from its previous closing of Rs. 381.50 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 382.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 388.80 and Rs. 380.45 respectively. So far 5,161 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 565.00 on 03-Nov-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 361.00 on 16-Jun-2017.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 413.80 and Rs. 372.65 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 1,52,400.00 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 67.14%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 30.83% and 2.03% respectively.

Bharti Airtel and Telenor South Asia Investments have completed their transaction, wherein, Airtel has acquired the operations of Telenor (India) Communications (Telenor India). The transaction has received all regulatory and statutory approvals.

As a next step, Airtel will begin integrating Telenor India’s operations across seven circles - Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Maharashtra, Gujarat, UP (East), UP (West) and Assam.

With the completion of this transaction, Airtel’s total mobile customer base in India now stands at over 330 million, further cementing its leadership position.
