Steel Authority of India (SAIL) has delivered 10,500 tonne steel for the 330 Megawatts (MW) Kishanganga Hydroelectric Power Project in Bandipora district of Jammu and Kashmir. The company has also supplied around 70% of steel for Tuirial Hydroelectric Power Project in Mizoram.
SAIL is India’s largest steel producing company. The company is among the five Maharatnas of the country’s Central Public Sector Enterprises. The company has five integrated steel plants, three special plants, and one subsidiary in different parts of the country.
