KIOCL has approved the TEFR for setting up of a 2 mtpa capacity port based Pellet Plant on JV basis. The Board of Directors of the company at their meeting held on May 22, 2018, approved the same.
The Board also approved the TEFR for setting up of Forward and Backward integration projects to the Blast Furnace Unit of KIOCL, Mangalore.
KIOCL is Asia's largest iron ore mining and pelletisation complex and the country's biggest 100% export oriented unit engaged in the business of exporting high quality iron oxide pellets and pig iron.
