NMDC has reported 11.35 million tonnes (MT) of iron ore production during the fourth quarter, registering an increase of 9% over the corresponding period last year (CPLY), while sales of iron ore was 10.54 MT which is about 8% more than that of the CPLY.
NMDC for the year 2017-18 has registered a growth of 5% in production and 1% in sales of iron ore over the corresponding period last year (2016-17). NMDC has produced 35.58 MT and sold 36.07 MT of iron ore during 2017-18, against production of 34.01 MT and sales of 35.62 MT in corresponding period last year.
NMDC is a state-controlled mineral producer of the Government of India. It is fully owned by the Government of India and is under administrative control of the Ministry of Steel.
