All the Asian markets are trading in red in early deals on Tuesday as the fall in crude oil prices and the prospects of fresh elections in Italy offset optimism over a possible revival in diplomatic talks between the US and North Korea. Meanwhile, Japanese shares fell to one-month lows with investors selling cyclical shares as concerns over European politics added to the list of reasons to be cautious about the global economic outlook. Markets in Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia are closed for Wesak Day.
Nikkei 225 declined 195.04 points or 0.87% to 22,286.05, Hang Seng dipped 190.95 points or 0.62% to 30,601.31, Taiwan Weighted slipped 52.97 points or 0.48% to 10,934.80, Shanghai Composite contracted 18.49 points or 0.59% to 3,116.59, and KOSPI Index down by 14.92 points or 0.6% to 2,464.04.
