Balmer Lawrie rises on getting nod to acquire stake in Rchobbytech, Kanpur Flowercycling

Balmer Lawrie & Company is currently trading at Rs. 231.00, up by 1.00 points or 0.43% from its previous closing of Rs. 230.00 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 232.85 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 232.95 and Rs. 230.00 respectively. So far 7129 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 302.00 on 08-Nov-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 202.85 on 23-May-2018.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 232.95 and Rs. 204.95 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 2644.86 crore.

The Institutions and Non-Institutions held 10.19% and 89.76% stake in the company, respectively.

Balmer Lawrie & Company has received an approval for the acquisition of 10% equity share of Rchobbytech Solutions out of which 2% would be transferred to Indian Institute of Management - Calcutta Innovation Park for providing incubation support to the start-up and acquisition of 8.5% equity share of Kanpur Flowercycling out of which 2% would be transferred to Indian Institute of Management - Calcutta Innovation Park for providing incubation support to the start-up. The acquisition of shares is through infusion of capital in cash.

The meeting of the Board of Directors of the company held on May 29, 2018, approved the same.

Balmer Lawrie & Company is engaged in providing greases and lubricating oils, industrial packaging (steel drums), logistics infrastructure and services, and tours and travel.
