NMDC has signed a research agreement with Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research organization (CSIRO) Australia for research collaboration in the field of complex iron ore processing by energy efficient dry processing techniques.

NMDC is a state-controlled mineral producer of the Government of India. It is fully owned by the Government of India and is under administrative control of the Ministry of Steel.
