Wipro gains on completing divestment of data centre business in Germany, UK

Wipro is currently trading at Rs. 258.65, up by 1.65 points or 0.64% from its previous closing of Rs. 257.00 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 259.40 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 260.55 and Rs. 255.25 respectively. So far 421484 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 334.75 on 16-Jan-2018 and a 52 week low of Rs. 252.30 on 03-Jul-2017.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 261.25 and Rs. 254.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 117013.62 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 74.32%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 15.87% and 7.57% respectively.

Wipro has completed the divestment of its data centre business in Germany and the UK on June 28, 2018, along with the company’s Data Centre and Cloud Services, for a consideration of $399 million. The divestment of data centre operations in India is likely to be completed during the September quarter.
