Physical rubber prices failed to hold the preceding levels on Thursday on getting unfavourable reports from the global market and on absence of enquiry from the major consuming industries that resulted in weak closing at futures too.
Spot prices for RSS- 4 variety closed lower at Rs. 186/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs. 187/ kg, while RSS- 5 variety closed at Rs. 180.50/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs. 181/ kg.
In the futures market, contract of RSS- 4 July delivery slipped to Rs. 182.50 compared to its previous close of Rs. 184.60, while August delivery closed at Rs. 182.82 compared to its previous close of Rs. 184.91 on the National Multi Commodity Exchange.
