Bharti Infratel has received an approval for its proposed merger with Indus Towers from the fair trade regulator Competition Commission of India (CCI). As per the deal, Bharti Infratel will offer 1,565 shares for every one share of Indus Towers.
In April 2018, Bharti Airtel, Idea Cellular and Vodafone Group had announced an agreement for merger of Indus Towers and Bharti Infratel to create the largest mobile tower operator in the world outside China with over 163,000 towers across 22 telecom service areas.
Bharti Infratel is a provider of tower and related infrastructure, and deploys, owns and manages telecom towers and communication structures for various mobile operators.
