Godrej Consumer Products gains on the buzz of selling Snuggy to Nobel Hygiene

Godrej Consumer Products is currently trading at Rs. 1258.95, up by 9.55 points or 0.76% from its previous closing of Rs. 1249.40 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1243.95 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1262.30 and Rs. 1239.05 respectively. So far 72894 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1270.00 on 04-Jul-2018 and a 52 week low of Rs. 860.65 on 11-Aug-2017.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1270.00 and Rs. 1212.25 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 85765.76 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 63.26%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 30.25% and 6.49% respectively.

Godrej Consumer Products has reportedly sold its diaper brand Snuggy to Nobel Hygiene for an undisclosed amount, exiting the baby care segment that it entered nearly 15 years ago.

The company had acquired the brand from Shogun Diapers, which is one of the three leading players in the Indian baby diaper market with presence mainly in South India in 2003.

Godrej Consumer Products is the largest home-grown home and personal care company in India.
