Aurobindo Pharma’s wholly owned step-down subsidiary -- Agile Pharma BV (Netherlands) has entered into an agreement on July 13, 2018 to acquire commercial operations and certain supporting infrastructure in five European countries namely the Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, Poland and Czech Republic from Apotex International a Canadian pharmaceutical company engaged in the manufacture and marketing of pharmaceutical products.
The time period for the completion of the acquisition is within 3-6 months of the signing date. The price at which the shares are acquired euro 74 million and Aurobindo Pharma will not assume any debt as part of this transaction.
Aurobindo Pharma is engaged in manufacturing pharmaceutical products. It offers active pharmaceutical ingredients, intermediates and generic formulations like astemizole, domeperidone and omeprazole; anti-infective, oral and sterile antibiotics, pain management and osteoporosis segments.
